Bogor City is a city in West Java, Indonesia. The town lies 54 km south of Jakarta, and its territory was in the middle of Bogor Regency. The extent of 21.56 square kilometers and a population of 834 000 inhabitants (2003). Bogor city known as the rain, because it has a very high rainfall. Bogor City consists of six districts, which are further divided into a number of 68 departments. In the Dutch colonial era, is known as Buitenzorg Bogor (pronounced boit'n-zôrkh "bœit'-) meaning" no worries "or" safe ".
Anniversary and the city of Bogor in Bogor Regency is celebrated annually on June 3, because on June 3, 1482 is the day of the coronation of King Siliwangi as king of the Kingdom Pajajaran.
